In the latest study that exonerates menopause as a cause of impairing the ability to recall, Taiwanese researchers compared the memory of hundreds of women before they had any menopausal symptoms to their memory as they entered menopause.

They found the women who were going through the menopausal process scored as well or nearly as well on five different cognitive function tests. Results of the study are to be presented Oct. 4 at the American Neurological Association annual meeting in Toronto.

"When women go into perimenopause, they don't need to worry about cognitive decline," said Dr. Jong-Ling Fuh, an attending physician at Taipei Veterans General Hospital and an associate professor of Yang-Ming University School of Medicine.

The researchers said the myth of memory loss during menopause is a perception some women have because as they went through menopause, they felt their memory wasn't as sharp as it had been before. Studies suggesting that hormone replacement therapy might protect against dementia strengthened that belief. However, a large study later found that in older women, hormone replacement therapy not only didn't help protect women from dementia, but could actually increase the risk.

To try to answer the question of whether menopause did have any effect on memory, Fuh and her colleagues studied nearly 700 premenopausal women living on a group of rural islands between Taiwan and China. The Taiwanese government restricted access to these islands until the 1990s, so the authors report that the study's population was nearly homogeneous, which would help rule out other potentially causative factors of memory loss.

The women were between the ages of 40 and 54. None of them had had a hysterectomy, and none took hormone replacement therapy during the study.

All took five cognitive tests designed to assess their memory and cognitive skills at the start of the study, and then again 18 months later.

During the study period, 23 percent of the women began to have symptoms of menopause.

The researchers then compared the memory of the women who had entered menopause to those who had not, and found very little difference. In four of the five tests, there were no statistically significant differences in the two groups of women.

Only on one test was the difference statistically significant, and that difference, said Fuh, was very slight. This test was designed to assess verbal memory and involved showing the women 70 nonsensical figures. Some of the figures were repeated during the test, while most were not. The women were asked whether they had seen the figure earlier.

"For women, menopause does not mean you'll develop memory loss," said Dr. Raina Ernstoff, an attending neurologist at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich. As you're going through perimenopause and experiencing symptoms like hot flashes, she said, you may feel lousy and have trouble sleeping, which might temporarily affect your cognitive skills.

"I don't think declining estrogen levels are what causes memory loss," said Dr. Steven Goldstein, an obstetrician/gynecologist at New York University Medical Center in New York City. "It's not like your memory is bopping along, doing fine and then takes this big dive during menopause, like bone density can."

Both Ernstoff and Goldstein said they weren't aware of many women who believed that menopause might cause significant memory loss. They also both felt that results from this group of women who were so homogeneous might not apply to different groups of women, such as those living in more industrialized society. And they both said that other factors that weren't studied could play a role in memory loss, such as hypertension, which can contribute to vascular dementia.

Ernstoff also pointed out that the education backgrounds can play a large role in memory loss. Fuh acknowledged the researchers did attempt to control the data for educational differences.
The prostate encircles the urethra, the tube that expels urine from the bladder by way of the penis. The ping pong ball sized gland produces most of the fluid in semen. Contraction of the muscles in the prostate squirt fluid from into the urethra tract during ejaculation. This fluid makes up the majority of the ejaculate and transports and nourishes the sperm.

Prostate cancer is the leading cause of cancer related death for American men who don’t smoke. It is primarily a disease of aging. Men in their thirties and forties rarely develop prostate cancer, but the incidence grow steadily after the age of fifty-five. About 80 percent of all prostate cancer cases occur in men over the age of sixty-five. By the age of eighty, 4 out of 5 men have some degree of prostate cancer. Many experts feel that all men will eventually develop prostate cancer if they live long enough. The three most common prostate problems are prostatitis or inflection, prostate enlargement, and prostate cancer.

Medical professionals recommend that men have annual rectal exams as part of a health checkup from ages 40 to 70, and those with high risk and all men 50 and over should add a PSA (prostate-specific antigen) blood test every year as well. When prostate cancer is detected early and treated it has a high cure rate. Men are encouraged to discuss the options with their doctor. Based on past screenings doctors have observed that in men ages 50 to 59, the prostate cancer detection rate was basically the same whether men were screened every year or every two years. Therefore normal-risk men in their 50s can to be safely screened every other year. Since there is no cure for advanced prostate cancer, early diagnosis and treatment are essential. Since early prostate cancer normally doesn’t have any symptoms, it is extremely difficult to detect without testing. Screenings using both PSA and DRE tests have proven to be the best and only reliable method of identifying the disease when it can be still be cured easily. Almost fifty-eight percent of all cases are discovered while the cancer is still isolated and at its most treatable stage. A doctor can detect prostate cancer by digital rectal examination and by a PSA (prostate-specific antigen) blood test.
The air travels past the soft palate, uvula, tonsils, and tongue. When a person is awake, the muscles in the back of the throat tighten to hold these structures in place preventing them from collapsing and/or vibrating in the airway. During sleep, the uvula and soft palate frequently vibrate causing the distinctive sounds of snoring.

The LAUP procedure is a laser surgical procedure designed to sequentially trim and shorten these structures, thus preventing or reducing snoring.

Risks and ComplicationsYou have the right to be informed that the surgery may involve risks of unsuccessful results, complications, or injury from both known and unforeseen causes. Because individuals vary in their tissue circulation and healing processes, as well as anesthetic reactions, ultimately there can be no guarantee made as to the results or potential complications. The following complications have been reported in the medical literature. This list is not meant to be inclusive of every possible complication. They are listed here for your information only, not to frighten you, but to make you aware and more knowledgeable concerning this surgical procedure.

1. Failure to resolve the snoring. Most surgeons feel that about 85% of patients who undergo a LAUP will have a significant or complete resolution in their snoring; and an additional percentage of patients will notice reduced levels of snoring such that their sleep partners will report that it's level is no longer offensive.

2. Failure to cure sleep apnea or other pathological sleep disorders. Pathological sleep disorders, like sleep apnea, are medical problems which may have associated serious complications. At this time, the LAUP procedure has not been proven to cure these disorders.

3. Bleeding. In very rare situations, a need for blood products or a blood transfusion. You have the right, should you choose, to have autologous or designated donor directed blood pre-arranged. You are encouraged to consult with your doctor if you are interested.

4. Nasal regurgitation, a change in voice, or velopharyngeal insufficiency when liquids may flow into the nasal cavity during swallowing (rare).

5. Failure to resolve coexisting sinus, tonsil, or nasal problems.

6. Need for revision, or further and more aggressive surgery.

7. Prolonged pain, impaired healing, and the need for hospitalization
The most important person in a young girl's life? Her father. That's right-and teen health expert Dr. Meg Meeker has the data and clinical experience to prove it. After more than twenty years of counseling girls, she knows that fathers, more than anyone else, set the course for their daughters' lives.

Now Dr. Meeker, author of the critically acclaimed Epidemic: How Teen Sex Is Killing Our Kids, shows you how to strengthen -- or rebuild -- your bond with your daughter, and how to use it to shape her life, and yours, for the better. Directly challenging the feminist attack on traditional masculinity, Dr. Meeker demonstrates that the most important factor for girls growing up into confident, well-adjusted women is a strong father with conservative values. To have one, she shows, is the best protection against eating disorders, failure in school, STDs, unwed pregnancy, and drug or alcohol abuse -- and the best predictor of academic achievement, successful marriage, and a satisfying emotional life.

- How to become a hero to your daughter -- and why she needs that more than anything - The one mistake fathers make that is the primary cause of girls "hooking up"

- Why girls depend on the guidance of fathers through, and even beyond, their college years - cipe for disaster: the notion that girls "need to make their own decisions and mistakes"

- Why girls need God -- and how your faith, or lack thereof, will influence her

Dads, you are far more powerful than you think you are. Your daughters need the support that only fathers can provide -- and if you are willing to follow Dr. Meeker's advice on how to guide your daughter, to stand between her and a toxic culture, your rewards will be unmatched.

Recommended. This is a powerful book for fathers who are already great Dads... It will validate who you are and encourage you to keep doing what you are doing. It will help forge your mind around your absolute responsibilities as the father of a girl and young lady. It will remind you that baby girls, young ladies, and women have only ONE Daddy.

If your home or office is typical, it already has dozens of cleaning and personal care products that contain harmful chemicals. Recent studies have revealed that most households/offices contain over 63 hazardous products that together contain hundreds of chemicals. These chemicals have the potential to greatly harm or even kill your children, your pets and you, should they accidentally not be used with the utmost caution.

Could these tragedies happen in your home or office?

When little Jennifer Smith of Salt Lake City, UT was but a year old she crawled over to the dishwasher while her mother was unloading the dishes. She put her small finger in the detergent dispensing cup and ate a finger full of wet but un-dissolved commercial dish detergent. In minutes her face was red and blistered, the inside of her mouth and tongue were burned white. Luckily she was rushed to a nearby hospital emergency room for quick medical attention. She recovered in a few days.

Another documented case was a 20 month old boy who had to be fed through tubes for five months and suffered through many operations. Again, the culprit was dishwasher detergent.

This is only two of thousands of cases reflecting children ingesting and being exposed to, what most consider common household products, terrible life threatening consequences.

It is estimated that the U.S. Poison Control Center has nearly 1.5 million reported cases of accidental ingestion of poisons every year. Sadly most of these cases were under 12 years of age.

Have you ever wondered what the strong odor in the cleaners isle of your supermarket is?

Ingestion is only one of three major ways that these products enter the body. Inhalation is even for more dangerous because when breathed in these harmful chemicals go directly into the blood stream and can quickly affect the lungs, heart, brain liver and kidneys.

By the way, that strong smell in your supermarket cleaner isle is caused by what industry experts describe as "out gassing". Out gassing is the vapors escaping from the "sealed" containers on the supermarkets shelves. Which obviously are extremely harmful to your health.

Have you ever been literally driven out of your bathroom shower while using one of the most popular tile cleaners? These types of cleaners must contain strong chemicals in order to do the job. The job may get done but you are at risk from the strong vapors that are generated. By the time you have exited the bathroom the chemical vapors have entered your blood stream and are wrecking havoc with your health.

Where are your rubber gloves?
Do you know that one square centimeter of skin (the size of a dime) contains 3 million cells and 4 yards of nerves? How do you think nicotine and hormone replacement patches work? Do the chemicals somehow enter the body from the patch through the skin to do their work? Of course they do.

This same absorption occurs every time a cleaning product touches your skin. By the way, if your baby happens to crawl across your nicely scrubbed kitchen floor, even several days after, the skin will pick up and absorb whatever harmful chemicals happen to be in the cleaner.

Consumer Beware!

Why isn't the consumer informed and protected from the potentially dangerous chemicals contained in cleaning and personal care products?

The government has very limited power to regulate and require proper testing.

Products that kill 50% of lab animals can still get designated as "non-toxic".

Of 17,000 household chemicals only about 5,100, or approximately 30%, have been adequately tested and less than 10% have been tested on the nervous system.

No law requires manufactures to list the exact ingredients on the package label.

Whether appearing in television or films or strutting down the red carpet during movie premiers and awards, they never cease to fascinate us with their larger than life presence. The truth is, it takes a lot of effort to look the way they do, and being the public figures that they are, they cannot afford to slack off when it comes to taking care of their physical appearances. Their livelihood largely depends on how they look. Aside from the clothes, the hair and the makeup, celebrities have to take good care of their bodies.

So it is no surprise that these stars have their own secrets when it comes to staying fit and gorgeous. Their health agenda can range from extreme workouts to well-planned meals. Who doesn't want to know their secrets in staying absolutely sexy? Here are some of the diet secrets of seven women celebrities.

1. Jennifer Aniston

The star of the phenomenal television show Friends not only mesmerized audiences with her adorable comic sense and her famous hairstyle, she was also known for having one of the sexiest bodies in Hollywood, as she appeared in countless magazine covers. To stay trim, Jennifer follows the 40:30:30 diet method. The diet consists of:

40% Low glycemic carbohydrates
-Foods such as beans, fruits and vegetables, legumes

30% lean proteins
-Tofu, fish, chicken, turkey, beef and low fat dairy products

30% essential fats
-nuts and seeds, fish and olive oils

It is essential that every meal should contain macronutrients to attain the balance of hormones and maximum weight loss.

2. Kate Hudson

The gorgeous daughter of actress Goldie Hawn gained 60 pounds during her pregnancy, which she needed to shed quickly before commencing on her next film. From her previous eating plan, she switched to a higher protein diet. She consumed high protein meals in smaller portions, and she combined this diet with an exercise program that includes weight training and cardiovascular workouts. After getting a lot of flak because of her post-pregnancy figure, Kate removed all that baby weight in only four months and has gained abdominal muscles that gained the envy of many in Hollywood.

3. Oprah Winfrey

As one of the most successful talk-show hosts in the world, there is no question that Oprah needs to maintain her physical appearance for her millions of audiences. Known as one of those celebrities who are constantly battling weight gain, she has recently toned up her figure and has never looked figure in age 50 by combining a regular exercise regime and diet plan. Oprah works out five days a week, spending 30 minutes on the threadmill and doing free weights. Her eating plan consists of legumes, fish, nuts, fruits and vegetables, chicken and dairy products that are lowfat. She limits her consumption of white sugar and flour. Oprah also credits her trim figure to her habit of not eating anything after seven in the evening.

4. Gwyneth Paltrow

A lot of people may find it hard to believe that the perpetually slim Academy award-winning actress actually needs to diet. Gwyneth actually follows a healthy eating plan that resembles Oprah's, avoiding sugar and white flour. She usually follows a macrobiotic diet, eating foods like vegetables, brown rice, and lean meat. She also eliminated dairy from her diet, and does yoga everyday.

5. Madonna

The pop star known as the Material Girl has always flaunted a body that is to die for, and has become a true fitness paragon over the years. She keeps herself in tip-top shape by having Ashtanga Yoga, and follows a strict diet that mostly shuns junk foods. She adopted a macrobiotic eating plan that includes organic foods rich in lean protein.

6. Claudia Schiffer

The bodacious German supermodel eats salad and steamed vegetables for dinner and eats only fruits before the afternoon. While on locations, she prefers to eat black grapes and drinks tomato juice and herbal tea.

7. Christie Brinkley

Long-time supermodel maintains her all-American good looks by being a vegetarian. She does not keep junk foods of any kind inside her home to make sure that she does not eat them when cravings occur. She snacks on sweet potatoes in place of candy bars, and she adopts a liquid juice diet when she needs to slim down fast.

Celebrities are just like ordinary people. They need to maintain their figures just like anyone else, and there is more pressure on their part since they are constantly in the public eye. Ordinary folks can have celebrity-like bodies, too, and by following these diet and fitness plans, they can also look like red-carpet worthy.Sarinahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06237200585233881329noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7973796761082319035.post-51083262698830169702009-05-29T17:58:00.000-07:002009-05-29T17:58:32.237-07:00Vitamin D boosts brain power in middle-aged menFrom Yahoo News

WASHINGTON (AFP) - - Higher levels of vitamin D, synthesized in the skin after being exposed to the sun and found in oily fish, are associated with increased brain power among middle-aged men, according to a new British study.

The link between increased vitamin D and faster information processing "was more significant in men aged over 60 years old, although the biological reasons for this remain unclear," read the report, to appear in the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry.

The study, conducted by researchers from the University of Manchester, in collaboration with other European specialists, compared the cognitive performance of more than 3,000 men between the ages of 40 and 79 years.

Men with higher levels of vitamin D "performed consistently better in a simple and sensitive neuropsychological test that assesses an individual's attention and speed of information processing," the study showed.

Resarchers "observed a significant, independent association between a slower information processing speed and lower levels of vitamin D," said lead author David Lee at Manchesters School of Translational Medicine.

The study is based on a large population sample and took into account other possible factors, such as depression, season and levels of physical activity.

The main source of vitamin D is 10 to 15 minutes daily exposure to sunlight. Oily fish are also an excellent source of vitamin D.

A separate 2008 study by researchers in Amsterdam showed that a lack of vitamin D could increase the risk of depression or other psychiatric problems among older people.
Getting flunked grades make us realize that we need to study. Debts remind us of our inability to look for a source of income. Being humiliated gives us the ‘push’ to speak up and fight for ourselves to save our face from the next embarrassments. It may be a bitter experience, a friend’s tragic story, a great movie, or an inspiring book that will help us get up and get just the right amount of motivation we need in order to improve ourselves.

With the countless negativities the world brings about, how do we keep motivated? Try on the tips I prepared from A to Z…

A - Achieve your dreams. Avoid negative people, things and places. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

B - Believe in your self, and in what you can do.

C – Consider things on every angle and aspect. Motivation comes from determination. To be able to understand life, you should feel the sun from both sides.

D – Don’t give up and don’t give in. Thomas Edison failed once, twice, more than thrice before he came up with his invention and perfected the incandescent light bulb. Make motivation as your steering wheel.

E – Enjoy. Work as if you don’t need money. Dance as if nobody’s watching. Love as if you never cried. Learn as if you’ll live forever. Motivation takes place when people are happy.

F – Family and Friends – are life’s greatest ‘F’ treasures. Don’t loose sight of them.

G – Give more than what is enough. Where does motivation and self improvement take place at work? At home? At school? When you exert extra effort in doing things.

H – Hang on to your dreams. They may dangle in there for a moment, but these little stars will be your driving force.

I – Ignore those who try to destroy you. Don’t let other people to get the best of you. Stay out of toxic people – the kind of friends who hates to hear about your success.

J – Just be yourself. The key to success is to be yourself. And the key to failure is to try to please everyone.

K – keep trying no matter how hard life may seem. When a person is motivated, eventually he sees a harsh life finally clearing out, paving the way to self improvement.

L – Learn to love your self. Now isn’t that easy?

M – Make things happen. Motivation is when your dreams are put into work clothes.

N – Never lie, cheat or steal. Always play a fair game.

O – Open your eyes. People should learn the horse attitude and horse sense. They see things in 2 ways – how they want things to be, and how they should be.

P – Practice makes perfect. Practice is about motivation. It lets us learn repertoire and ways on how can we recover from our mistakes.

Q – Quitters never win. And winners never quit. So, choose your fate – are you going to be a quitter? Or a winner?

R – Ready yourself. Motivation is also about preparation. We must hear the little voice within us telling us to get started before others will get on their feet and try to push us around. Remember, it wasn’t raining when Noah build the ark.

S – Stop procrastinating.

T – Take control of your life. Discipline or self control jives synonymously with motivation. Both are key factors in self improvement.

U – Understand others. If you know very well how to talk, you should also learn how to listen. Yearn to understand first, and to be understood the second.

V – Visualize it. Motivation without vision is like a boat on a dry land.

W – Want it more than anything. Dreaming means believing. And to believe is something that is rooted out from the roots of motivation and self improvement.

X – X Factor is what will make you different from the others. When you are motivated, you tend to put on “extras” on your life like extra time for family, extra help at work, extra care for friends, and so on.

Y – You are unique. No one in this world looks, acts, or talks like you. Value your life and existence, because you’re just going to spend it once.

Z – Zero in on your dreams and go for it!!!

Let kids tell you what they think of Christmas and they will speak of images full of snow, caroling, putting up Christmas tree ornaments, Christmas gifts and the irresistible magic and wonderment. For everyone else, Christmas is a whole 30 days (even more for some) of headaches and stress.

This doesn't have to be so. Who says you can't enjoy the yuletide season like kids can? This article will give you a few tips on how to celebrate Christmas with less of the stress and more of the ho, ho, holiday fun.

I bet you've heard this a gazillion times, but I guess once more doesn't hurt until you take it to heart: do your Christmas shopping early. Beat the mad rush and escape your kid's heartbreak when you find out that the very last (insert name of their wanted toy] that sells like hotcakes here) has been won in a duel by another overzealous parent. So Shop early and avoid the scuffle.

And no, Christmas doesn't mean you have to be a Stepford wife whipping up delicious Christmas goodies from scratch. Doing this will definitely eat up time on your hands to actually enjoy the things you cooked or baked. Order your food ready-made, pop it in the oven for a few minutes, and no one will ever know. It's your little secret, everyone's happy, and Christmas will be full of merrymaking from then on.

If you need help with your holiday preparations, then by all means, ask for it. Is Christmas not a season of goodwill to all men? (And Women?) More often than not, you will come out with better relationships, a long overdue chat, or discovering kindred hearts. There's no better time of the year.

Learn to let loose and let the small things go. Trust me, no one will care about whether the food's a little late as long as they're enjoying each other's company. Hey, it's Christmas. In fact, you might get carried away by the excellent time spent with each other yourself. Just don't forget, there's still food cooking back in the kitchen. I mean, Christmas will cause you to be a little more cheerful and forgiving than most other days. Your guests are really there for the joy of your company - not just for the food.

K.I.S.S. works real well. In other words, keep it simple, sweetheart. Sure, your guests will no doubt be impressed by excellent Christmas decorations, but the whole point of Christmas is to enjoy each other, and pretty soon, after some interesting conversations, they won't even notice the Christmas tree is not a real tree. Don't go overboard on the decorations and preparations. Simple pine-tree scented candles can do wonders to your Christmas-inspired ambience.

Lastly, keep in mind what Christmas is all about, it's all about giving and caring, it's all about the season of happiness and delight, it's all about magic in the winter air. It's about innocent kids secretly staying up all night so they may have a glimpse of Santa and his reindeer. Remembering what this season is all about will keep you from going overboard and from going crazy with endless preparation. Christmas is about each other, not about competition. It's the memories of each other that last in our minds, not the Christmas decorations.

An autistic person is always absorbed in self-centered mental activity (eg. daydreams, delusions, fantasies, hallucinations), exhibiting a marked withdrawal from reality, and the inability to relate to people and situations. Autistic children appear to live in a world of their own, in some cases using language or vocabulary only they understand. Adults often show a stubborn resistance to change. The condition is rare, however, occuring only about two to four persons in every 10,000.

The Signs in children:

Delayed in development, particularly in the milestones of social behaviour (eg. smiling and talking).

Solitary play and withdrawal from the rest of the family and other people.

Apathy (indifference) toward other peoples attempts at communication.

Dislike for cuddling.

The lack or absence of eye contact.

Rote (fixed routine) and compulsive behaviour which, if interrupted, may provoke temper tantrums.

Mental retardation, in most.

In some, extraordinary talent or brilliance in a specific field (eg drawing, mathematics, music, painting)

Complications

Injury due to self-mutilation, or to the lack or absence of response to painful stimuli.

Common Causes
The exact cause has not yet been pinpointed, but the disorder is attributed to:

Genetic predisposition (hereditary).

Failure of the section of the brain that processes stimuli.

What you can do

Consult a doctor if you think your child is autistic.

Stay positive and be supportive towards your child with autism.

Here is one great example how a mom successfully battle through with autism in her child.
Simply the best!
Positive Discipline Dr. Jane Nelsen's Positive Discipline books for parents should be manadatory reading for all parents and teachers. She puts the responsiblity squarely where it belongs - on the adult - and shows us we don't have to use corporal punishment, sarcasm, yelling and screaming to raise or teach a child of any age. A wonderful side benefit of Postivie Discipline is the improvement you can make in ALL relationships in life by putting these principles into practice. As Jane says, and I paraphrase, "Who ever got the crazy idea you could make people do better by making them feel worse?" If we would put ourselves in our child's shoes while we're yelling at them trying to correct them or make a point, or worse hitting them because they did something wrong, we would stop such nonsense in a second. Put her simple and very effective techniques into practice and you'll find a remarkable change occur in the relationships you have with your children. Check out [...] too - there's lots of free stuff there along with great articles. Click Here.
Traditional family roles have been changing for quite some time and this book gives "a wake up call" to friends, partners and family members about the importance of understanding and coping with health issues that have both short- and long-term consequences for all involved.

The balance of available medical research and personal story is what makes this book different and special. The information is comprehensive, accessible and readable. The writing is well-researched, engaging and interesting. The resources are invaluable. It's a book that will sit prominently on my reference shelf. Click HereSarinahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06237200585233881329noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7973796761082319035.post-69930479745453183512008-08-01T17:38:00.000-07:002008-08-01T17:51:38.234-07:00New Breakthrough "Magic Code" Makes Your Site Money!Just Released: A New "Magic Code" that when added to any site you have causes your site (or even any site) to magically start making money.

No joke. This discovery was made by a New York doctor who for the last 10 years used it secretly to do everything from offset his advertising costs, to just adding it to 1,000's of webpages and amass a personal wealth now of nearly $100 million cash!

And now he's decided to allow you and everyone else to share in it (and since he stands nothing more to gain by keeping "you" in the dark about it).

As it turns out, a number of the largest online firms such as Alexa, and even a good number of the top 100 sites ranked on the entire Web are already using this amazing, but very simple secret.

Alexa, for instance, adds this code to a number of their webpages and it allows them to automatically generate an "extra" $90,000 a month in profits – and that for just a single webpage!

If you had 10 such pages that each did likewise, you'd "magically" get $900,000 every 30 days just poured into your pocket!

And most important: You should instantly recognize the fact that since a firm like Alexa (as well as about 34% of the Web's top 100 sites) is using this, then you too should be using it.

But here's what may SHOCK you the absolute very most ...

It takes you just 45 seconds to add this code to any webpage

Once added you do NOTHING further – but money just starts pouring in!

And remember .....

Just in case you think this isn't for real, firms like Alexa and others in the top 100 wouldn't be using it (but they are; so what does that tell you?)

If you are wise and want to make your webpages pay you money automatically simply by adding just a simple string of 1-line code to any webpage, then you had best go here immediately:

==> Click HERE to find out!

Why the need to RUSH? ... Simple:

The guy giving this out is letting just about another 500 to maybe 600 people at best find out about this, and then he's deliberately going to "pull the rug out from underneath" anyone else trying to get it!

I know, I know ... That sounds very cruel and unfair.

But that's his doing; so rather than argue with him it would probably just be a better idea to just go there and grab it so that at least "you" don't get left out in the rain, right?

But fair warning, in case you stumble upon this too late, just don't be shocked to see it's no longer available.

How you age are depends on hereditary factors, life experience and lifestyle choice. You cannot change heredity but by making certain lifestyle choices you can soften the effects of life experiences. How rapidly you age is under more control then you may realise.

The earlier you adopt a healthy lifestyle the greater the chance that by the time you get to your 50's, you will feel no different from how you felt in your 20's and 30's. If however, you are already over 50, it is not too late to start. A healthy diet and a programme of regular exercise will make a younger person of you.

Eat Wisely

There is a great deal of evidence that points to diet as a factor in staying healthy and illness free. As you age, your metabolic rate tends to slow down, so this is a good time to reassess your diet. Cutting back on fatty foods is especially important. This will help you cut calories as well.

Get Moving

If you have never exercised regularly in your life, there is no reason to believe that you are too old to start. Aerobic exercise tends to confer the greatest benefits but some, like jogging, can be too stressful on the joints as you get older. There are, however, exercises that offer many benefits while being easier for older people to do.

Swimming is the most complete exercise; it works on ALL the muscles of your body and rarely lead to injury, as it does not stress your joints.

Aqua Aerobics is a no-impact, fun activity and it provides the same training advantages as low-impact aerobics on land, benefiting the entire body.

Walking, an exercise for all ages, is a low-impact sociable activity. You can chat with your friends while you exercise. Brisk walking burns approximately the same number of calories per kilometer as does running.

Strength Training helps to maintain good posture and your sense of balance. This is especially important for the elderly whose risk of falling is greater.

Flexibility (stretching) exercises are very important for the elderly' they keep your joints supple and help ward off the effects of arthritis.

Yoga is an ancient discipline, which builds flexibility, stamina and breath control. It is often referred to as "The Fountain of Youth" because of its rejuvenating effects.

Taichi, a Chinese system of self-defence, improves your balance and co-ordination. It builds strength in the muscles for fine motor control and reinforces proper posture. It has a claming effect on the mind.

Remember, regular exercise is good for you, no matter what age you are.

If you are over 35 and have never exercise before, get clearance from your doctor first. If you are healthy, there is no reason not to start.

Other Secrets To Ageing Gracefully

Mental Exercise limbering up the mind is as important as exercising the body. We need to continue to challenge ourselves, to learn to expose ourselves to new ideas, to share news and views with others. Travel, read, be creative. Remember that if you didn't use it, you lose it.

Laughter is a great uplifter of your mental and physical state. People are naturally attractive to someone who has a good sense of humour. Laughter helps you keep a positive outlook on life and has been found to have a healing properties.

Avoid stress a life filled with stress can wreak havoc on your body and may contribute to illnesses such as heart attacks, strokes, asthma, and an increase in blood pressure.

Family. Stay in contact with family and friends.

Remember, getting old does not preclude normal sexual activity.

Accept your mortality and enjoy your later years.

Retirement Planning

It would be unrealistic to view retirement as a single act in time: one day you are working, the next day you are not.

It is much wiser, financially and for peace of mind to start planning your retirement many years in advance. Planning for retirement can make it the most enjoyable and productive time of your life.

Long range planning is the best way to guarantee the lifestyle and financial security you want in the years ahead.

View retirement as starting a new and vital phase of your life, which is filled with fresh opportunities, expanded interests, new friends and deep satisfaction.

There are seven important issues you should consider upon retirement, which will help to make it more enjoyable:

Attitude and role adjustment: Adopt a positive view of retirement. You may need to deal with a change of your role within the family and community.

Meaningful use of time: Take charge of your time; spend more time doing those activities you enjoy or start to explore new areas of interest.

Employment planning: Explore creative work options if you aren't ready to totally give up working. Maybe you can work from home or take part in voluntary or community work.

Housing and lifestyle: Decide if you need to make any changes to your home or if you need to relocate in the future and make plans for this. Think about the changes that you may have to face in your day to day living.

Fitness: Discover ways to manage and retain your health and reduce stress.

Financial security: Determine your sources of income (e.g. pension payments, investments, earnings) during retirement. It is important to be aware of the need to budget, to project financial needs and cut current costs and to determine investments strategies to ensure financial security.

Legal and estate planning: It is important to make a will and make provisions for your family and dependants, also consider obtaining a life insurance policy.

While there appears to be many new and difficult decisions to take into account when planning your retirement, remember that you can consult your immediate family and friends in helping you to make decisions. Your retirement may become one of the most fruitful and rewarding time of life.

By planning your retirement early - it can be one of the most enjoyable times of life. You will have the time to do all the things you were unable to while working.

Once you have your retirement planned, you can sit back, relax and enjoy it!

SKIN
Your skin is your body's guard, protecting your internal organs against bacteria, chemicals, and external shock. It is also the body's thermostat, regulating the body's temperature through the sweat glands. How you take care of your skin is reflected in it's present condition and in years to come.
Cleanse your face at least twice a day; in the morning and before you retire to bed in the evening. Avoid harsh soaps and long periods in the bath, which can encourage dryness. Use soap suitable for your skin type.

Shower immediately after swimming so that salt water and chlorine won't irritate or dry your skin.

Pat off sweat with a clean towel to prevent irritation. Do not share towels or clothes as skin infections can be passed through these.

In the bath, remove outer layer of dead skin cells by rubbing a loofah or washcloth in circular motions on your skin. This will help skin look fresher.

Eat a balanced diet supplemented with zinc and vitamins A, C and E.

Lubricate the skin from the inside by drinking plenty of water: at least six to eight glasses per day. Cut down on tea, coffee and alcohol which can cuase water loss.

Use an anti-perspirant or talcum powder to keep the skin cool and dry.

Anti-ageing strategies

Wrinkles cannot be avoided. However, avoid strong sunlight, which can cause premature ageing. Too much sun also increases the risk of skin cancer.

If you have to go out into the elements whether it is sunny, windy or wintry, use a sunscreen on exposed parts of your skin, not forgetting delicate areas like your lips and the tips of your ears. Reapply regularly. Wear clothing with a tight weave. Wear a hat to shade your scalps and face.

Moisture at leat twice a day: once in the moring and in the evening before going to bed.

Moisture the delicate skin area around the eyes with special eye creams or gels. Pat on very gently using the third or fourth finger.

We have about 1oo,ooo strands of hairs on our head. Each grows for two to six years. It's normal to shed some 50 to 100 stalks a day. When hair falls out, a new strand eventually replaces it. Hair has an evolutionary function. It protects our scalps from the scorching sun and in colder climates it helps to control heat loss. Healthy and well-groomed hair affects how we are perceived.

Cleansing Tips

Choose a shampoo for your hair type. It should leave hair shiny and feeling clean, not dull and sticky.

Change your shampoo from time to time as hair develops a resistance to the shampoo's ingredients.

Always wet hair under a gentle shower. Never in bath as soap and other chemicals may get into the water.

Check the temperature. Water that is too hot can burn the scalp and damage hair.

Wet hair before shampooing. Massage shampoo gently and evenly into hair. Do not scratch the scalp with fingernails or use plastic brushes on hair as this can cause soreness and redness as well as damage hair.

After shampooing, rinse until water is clear. Shampoo that hasn't been rinsed off properly can cause a flakey scalp that is often mistaken for dandruff.

To prevent tangling, use a conditioner on clean hair. Do not rub scalp. Rinse out completely unless it's the leave-in-type.

Wet hair is extra-vulnerable. To dry, pat hair gently with towel, wrap and let soak up for a minute or two. Never rub hair vigorously or brush or comb more than necessary.

If using a hair dryer, do not dry fully. Let hair dry naturally if possible.

Try not to worry and avoid stress.

Anti-Dandruff Strategies

Use an anti-dandruff shampoo, more often at first and then decrease use as the dandruff clears.

However, they are also extremely delicate and deterioration in eyesight is gradual. The utmost care should be taken no to strain them.

General Care

Wear sunglasses with photosensitive lenses during the day, especially around water and snow, as the glare is reflected. Sunglasses help reduce narrowing of the eyes and also help slow down sign of ageing in the sensitive skin area around the eyes.

Obtain lenses that block 99 to 100 percent of UVA and UVB rays, which can cause cataracts and other problems.

Wearing sunglasses is especially important among older adults and people with sensitive eyes and allergies. Sunglasses help prevent eyes burning, itching or watering due to the sun and air pollution.

If you have to tan, protect your eyelids with sunshades on sunny days, as well as bright cloudy days. Never look directly into the sun.

If dirt gets into your eyes, do not rub as this may further irritate the eye. Pull the upper eyelid over the lower one and let tears wash the grit out.

To reduce puffy eye, soak cotton wool in ice water and place over eye for 15 minutes.

Eat a balanced diet. Vitamin A is often in yellow and orange vegetables such as carrots and pumpkin and is required for good eyesight.

When you read, sit upright and hold reading material 30 to 40 centimeters away and slightly below eye level.

Bad lighting can make eyes tired and uncomfortable. Ensure you have sufficient lighting. It is better to have light coming over your shoulder than from the front, which can cause shadows glare. Halogen lamps cause less strain than glaring fluorescent lamps.

Glare from the television can also cause eye strain, ensure that you do not sit too close.

Go for periodic check-ups if you have any reading difficulties. Consult your eye practitioner once a year from the age of 40 or if the eye show any symptom of pain or redness.

As we age, the lenses in our eyes become less elastic, therefore the nearest point at which we can focus moves further away. Beyond a certain point you will need reading glasses.

Diabetic patients of more than five years of with visual problems should have their eyes checked by an eye specialist.

Eye baths and drops can soothe eyes but may mask the root of the problem. Consult your doctor if you use eye drops that reduce redness every day. If you suspect you have conjunctivitis (an infection of the eye), obtain antibiotic drops or ointment from your doctor.

Contact Lens Care

A good contact lens practitioner should recommend a lens type suitable for your eyes and your lifestyle.

Your lens practitioner should demonstrate the cleaning routine to you.

Start wearing contact lens in stages. Start with two hours on the first day and slowly build up to 12 hours.

Stick to the lens replacement schedule and don't wear your lenses longer than necessary.

Most contact lens problem result from lack of attention to hygiene. Be very particular about the cleanliness of your hands and lenses or you could risk an eye infection. Makeup and grease on hands can get into eyes and cloud the lenses.

Wash the lens container thoroughly with soap and water after each use and allow to dry.

Women should avoid greasy eye makeup products as they can cloud the lenses. Particles from mascara can get into the eye and scratch the cornea. At the end of the day, remove contact lenses before removing makeup.

Remove the lenses immediately if they hurt your eyes. A piece of dirt or an eyelash could be trapped under the lens.

Remove lenses if you see a halo when you look at lights. This could indicate that the cornea is short of oxygen and is swelling up.

Consult your eye practitioner if you suddenly develop intolerance to your lenses.

Don't mix cleaning and storing solutions as this could damage the lens or irritate your eyes.

Wash hand properly before removing contact lenses.

Wash the lens container thoroughly before storing the lenses.

Take out the contact lenses one at a time to clean.

Place lens on the palm of the hand and place a few drops of cleaning solution over the lens.

Rinse the contact lens.

Store in the lens container by immersing in disinfecting solution.

Preventing Eyestrain From Prolonged Use Of Computers

Long periods of computer usage can stress and dry the eyes, cause blurred vision, tiredness and headaches. It can also aggravate existing ocular problems. Playing computer games for long periods may cause nearsightedness (short sightedness) in children.

Take a 5-minute rest every 30 minutes or so to relax your eyes: go for a walk, look out the window or close your eyes.

Place reference material next to the screen to reduce head and eye movements and focal changes.

Minimise glare form the computer screen as this can sap the energy and lower productivity. Draw the curtains or blinds. Use glare-reducing filter on the screen.

They don't require a lot of time, energy, or money to set up, and once you've got one up and running, you can sit back and just collect money from all the sales you're making.

At least... that's how it's supposed to be, right?

The truth is that mini sites really ARE easy to setup. They really DON'T require much time, energy, and money to set up. So why is it that so few people actually make money with their mini sites?

The answer is that they never learned how to actually turn their mini site into a profitable moneymaker that runs completely on autopilot. The good news is...

****************************************************************************
YOU'RE ABOUT TO LEARN HOW TO DO IT!****************************************************************************

Here's what this is all about: My colleague MichaelRasmussen has just released a brand new video course that will walk you through the process of creating a killer mini site from the ground up, and then he'll also teach you how to actually start making money with it right away and into the future.

If you've been looking for help with monetizing yourmini sites, then this is exactly what you need. The best part? The videos are FREE! I'll tell you more about that later. First, let's talk about the videos themselves.

***********************************************************************
OVERALL QUALITY
***********************************************************************

It's important to note that these are online videos that you access from your web browser. Michael uses Camtasia Studio to create these videos, which is the premier software program for creating screen capture tutorials such as these.

The first thing I noticed when I hit the play button on the first video was the incredible production quality. These are NOT your ordinary screen capture videos. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen someone make videos that are this high quality before.

He uses beautifully created graphics to pass his wisdom along to you, and the sound quality is the highest you will ever hear in an Internet marketing product. They sound like they were recorded in a professional studio.

Michael explained to me that he was sick and tired of seeing all the low quality videos out there, and so he set out to create something different in order to raise the bar in our industry. I think that, when you see Mini Site Profits Exposed for yourself, you'llagree that he has succeeded.

Now let's move onto...

*************************************************************************
THE ACTUAL VIDEOS
*************************************************************************

Here's a brief summary of each video. Obviously it's impossible to list every single thing here, but I want you to get a feel for what each one covered, and how well it covered it.

If you're in a hurry, you can just check the videos out right now for free. Here's the URL:

VIDEO 1 - INTRODUCTION

This videos introduces you to the entire course, as well as the teacher himself. You'll learn what you can expect from the course, and why it's structured the way it is.

Michael realizes that you may not have heard of him, and so he spends some time establishing his credibility with you by sharing some of his biggest successes. It doesn't come across as bragging at all. Michael explains that, in order for you to get value from the teachings, you need to have faith that the teacher actually knows what he's talking about. By the end of this video, you will have no doubt.

By the way, this is a good lesson for all of us product developers. If you want people to accept you as an authority on any subject, you first need to establish your credibility with the reader.

That way he's willing to relax, and trust that what you're telling him is sound advice.

VIDEO 2 - THE BASICS

This video will introduce you to the basics of minisite marketing. This will set the foundation that all future learning will rest upon, so it's important to pay close attention to this one.

You'll learn:

* What mini-sites are, and what makes them different from regular content sites.

* Which businesses they work well for… and which ones they don’t.

* The right mindset to have when it comes to creating mini sites as part of your online business strategy.

* And the different tools you need to get started.

This was a great video, and did an excellent job of kicking things off, and building the foundation forthe rest of the course.

VIDEO 3 - SQUEEZE PAGES

This is probably one of the most useful videos of the entire course. Every Internet marketer needs to build an email list, but how do you do it? What is the bestway to capture the most opt-ins?

The answer is 'squeeze pages'. This video will teachyou:

* Why using a squeeze page is far superior to other opt-in methods.

* The single most important thing you must include at the top of your squeeze page to skyrocket your opt-inrate.

* The secret structure of a squeeze page, and why most marketers get it wrong (which costs them a LOT ofmoney).

* The most important to include in your opt-in process that will make sure that people actually receive youremail.

After watching this video, you'll know everything youneed to know to start building a massive opt-in list right away. This will probably be the first video that you 'take action' on. You'll be so excited about thepossibilities, that I guarantee you'll go and create your own squeeze page right away.

VIDEO 4 - MINI SITE COPYWRITING - PART ONE

Nothing happens until the sales copy is written. Graphics alone will never sell a product, but salescopy alone WILL. This video begins to demystify the mysterious process of writing words that make people whip out their credit cards and buy.

Specifically, you'll learn:

* Why you need to learn copywriting, even if you “hate to write”

* What a compelling offer looks like, and how to tell the difference.

* How to write an eyeball-grabbing headline that practically forces your readers to go through your entire page.

* A simple trick you can use in your opening to make your reader want to learn more.

There is no skill that is more important to your success than the ability to write killer sales copy. Make sure you pay extra attention to this video, as well as...

VIDEO 5 - MINI SITE COPYWRITING - PART TWO

This video dives right into the individual components of a killer sales letter. You'll learn how to create the "secret structure" of a mini site sales letter that makes big money. Specifically, you'll learn:

* How to create captivating body copy that draws your reader into the sales letter.

* Bullets that force your reader to keep reading the whole page, and makes them insanely
curious and want to buy your product

* How to take the risk off people's shoulders, so they'll feel safe buying from you.

* How to craft your 'call to action', and get people to whip out their credit cards and buy immediately.

* The secrets of writing a killer P.S. that helps seal the deal, and flip your prospect into a buyer instantly.

This video covered a surprising amount of detail, especially considering that this course is not specifically about copywriting. Michael Rasmussen is definitely someone who over delivers in his educational products.

VIDEO 6 - HOW TO AUTOMATE THE DELIVERY OF YOUR INFOPRODUCT

Unless you want to be chained to your computer, you must learn how to put your mini sites on autopilot. The only thing you should be doing is driving traffic, and letting the site itself do all the work, including the work of instantly delivering the product to the customer.

This video will walk you through the process of automating your product delivery, so you can just relax, and collect the money. The best part is... onceyou have this automated system set up, you never haveto touch it again.

VIDEO 7 - HOW TO "GROW" YOUR SALE

This video is guaranteed to be an eye opener for almost everyone who watches it, even the experienced marketers. Michael dives into some of the most effective 'upselling' techniques that I've ever seen.

Nowhere else on the Internet have I seen such athorough tutorial on how to increase the 'size' ofyour orders. You'll learn:

* The psychology of 'upselling', and how to use it make your customer spend even more money with you. The best part? He'll think it was his idea!

* The absolute best time to upsell your customer. This one will surprise you when you realize how much money you've been leaving on the table by skipping this step.

* 5 simple techniques to increase your profit by up to 100%.

If you've already got a mini site that's up an drunning, this video will make a big difference for you right away. Use any of these 'plug and profit' strategies to increase your income literally overnight!

VIDEO 8 - CREATING AN AFFILIATE SALES FORCE

If there's one thing I've noticed that all successful marketers have in common, it's that they have a great affiliate program. They create a program that allows other people to make good money by promoting their products, and they get to just sit back and relax, while everyone else is doing the hard work of promoting FOR them.

If you've ever dreamed of having an army of motivated sales people working hard to make you money, then you're going to love this video. Michael will teach you:

* What an affiliate program is, and how to set one upvery quickly.

* Exactly what tools you need to give your affiliates (most people miss the mark here, so pay extra attention to this part).

* Why merely having an affiliate program is NOT enough to convince people to sign up, and what you can do instead to have people eagerly trying to become one of your affiliates.

* How to motivate affiliates to sell for you.

VIDEO 9 - MINI SITE MISTAKES TO AVOID

Let's face it... it's not enough to explain what you should do. You also need to know what mistakes you should avoid. Michael has already made these costly mistakes, but you don't have to. You'll learn:

- Why people do judge a book by its cover... and how to capitalize on that for your mini-site

- The single biggest reason people don’t buy from a mini site, and how you can apply this 'instant fix'.

- The single biggest thing that will kill your mini-site (it's not what you think, and making this mistake is a surefire way to drain money from yourbank account FAST!)

- Two list building mistakes that’ll cripple your long-term profits.

VIDEO 10 - SECRETS OF CREATING A PRODUCT FUNNEL

This video will walk you through the process of designing a product line that will make you a TON of money. There's a lot more to it than you'd think, which is why this important concept (which was takenfrom direct marketing) gets it's own video.

After watching this video, you'll understand why you can't just have a single front end product, and you'll know exactly what to do in order to get your customer to keep buying more and more expensive products from you... completely on autopilot!

This video is a MUST for any serious marketer who wants to make a lot of money from their online business.

VIDEO 11 - OUTSOURCING SECRETS FOR WORKING LESS, AND MAKING MORE

The title of this video says it all. You'll learn all of Michael's secrets for getting top notch freelancers to help you create your mini site empire in record time.

Let's face it, you can't be an expert at everything that mini sites require. For example, it's really tough to be a top notch graphic designer, while also mastering HTML, and then becoming a killer copywriter, on top of also creating the product itself.

And the list goes on and on. If you want to be efficient, and begin making money as fast as possible, outsourcing is the secret to making it happen. This video will show you exactly what to do, as well as some common (and very expensive) pitfalls to avoid.

VIDEO 12 - OUTSOURCING SECRETS FOR WORKING LESS, AND MAKING MORE

Let's face it... it doesn't matter how great your mini site is if you don't get any traffic coming to it. Getting traffic can be one of the most confusing and mysterious parts of making money online IF you don't get the proper education.

Thankfully, Michael really dives in, and gives you a lightning fast education in this area. Specifically, you'll learn:

* How to use Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising to get targeted traffic fast.

* 3 ways to get targeted traffic without spending a dime.

* 2 ways to leverage the experience and contacts of other people to explode your traffic.
